Resources shared by @angad after the blender lecture.
First of all, here are the slides :
And here are the two files that have the example nodes for the shader and geometry nodes :
For someone who is very much fascinated by Blender and wants to learn it from scratch, I’d highly suggest the ‘hello world’ of Blender - The Donut Tutorial :
Blender 3.0 Beginner Donut Tutorial
Other than the Donut tutorial, Andrew Price’s channel as linked above is an amazing resource to learn a lot of Blender stuff (I learnt modelling, shading, lighting and pretty much all basics from his tutorials).
Other than that, for people fascinated by the procedural node-based magic that you can do with Blender, I present to you a channel that I now watch as entertainment. Default Cube makes videos primarily on node based stuff (and other random Blender stuff) and are pretty fun to watch :
To understand all the properties in the principled BSDF, refer this :
How to make Photorealistic Materials in Blender, using the Principled Shader
The title of the next video might seem scary. And yes, you aren’t gonna remember most of it in some days. But still - it’s good to know what all is at your disposal when working on shaders :
